What else can we talk about except COVID- 19.  First, everyone needs to take action, stay calm and be positive.  Everyone needs to take precautions to protect yourself and others which include wash hands, cover coughs, avoid touching your face and recognize symptoms.  If you are sick stay home.  See the attached documents for details including template documents to be utilized for creating Cal/OSHA required and recommended programs.  This quote taken from the Cal/OSHA guidance page states, “Emphasize staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees:  Place posters that encourage staying home when sick, cough and sneeze etiquette, and hand hygiene at the entrance to your workplace and in other workplace areas where they are likely to be seen.”  See attached pdf posters.

Of particular interest, is a recommended program called an Infectious Disease Outbreak Response Plan which contains excellent guidance for risk assessment.  Attached are 2 risk assessment charts which I personally found to be very helpful in categorizing the risk and actions to be taken.  (please note the geographic guidance on risk is changing moment by moment at this time)  Remember stay positive!
