Doug Patrick, RSO Manager, Written Programs Department
Doug joined CSTC® in 2002 and rose through the ranks to become our Written Programs Department Manager.
Doug is a Registered Safety Officer through the International Brotherhood of Environmental Health and Safety and is a member in good standing of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration.
Doug is constantly taking classes through very reputable establishments to ensure the knowledge passed along to our clients is both current and compliant. He spends a lot of time buried in the California Code of Regulations, making sure CSTC is up-to-date.
Doug spends his days researching and writing a wide variety of compliance programs, although he specializes in anhydrous ammonia, sulfur dioxide, and chlorine safety. He also writes the vast majority of our training programs, including monthly classes and specialized programs (Landfill Operations Safety, Dive Plans, etcetera) as well as the "standard" programs like Injury & Illness Prevention, Emergency Response, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Food Production Safety...and the list goes on. He was also called upon by an agricultural equipment manufacturer to write procedures on a new type of farm equipment.
Doug also spends quite a bit of time teaching, enjoying many one-on-one relationships with our clients. Someone asked Doug once if he was qualified to teach a particular class. His response: "I should be, I wrote the program."
